Stakeholders convene to enhance Rice Processing Centers’ functionality

In a collaborative effort to fortify the backbone of agricultural productivity, representatives from various cooperatives and associations gathered at the annual Stakeholders Meeting for the Department of Agriculture’s Rice Processing Center (RPC) Project on April 17, 2024, in Iloilo City. Facilitated by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), the gathering aimed to conduct a comprehensive review of individual centers’ operational status and strategize for collective advancement.

The meeting served as a forum for stakeholders to review the RPCs’ operational projects. Each center’s performance and challenges were meticulously analyzed, emphasizing the significance of these hubs in bolstering agricultural productivity and fostering economic growth within local communities.

Updates from various stakeholders revealed a mosaic of issues and improvements needed to enhance the functionality of rice processing centers. From operational efficiencies to infrastructural upgrades, the discourse underscored the collective commitment to optimize each center’s potential.
