The Sagip Saka is gearing up for a capacity development plan, as highlighted by a two-day training organized by DA-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) at Nestas Hilltop Hotel in Roxas City on April 23-24, 2024.
The plan involves various projects slated to receive government funds through FCAs, encompassing initiatives such as livelihood development, manpower enhancement, cooperative strengthening, basic service delivery, environmental conservation, agricultural and fisheries diversification, local enterprise development, and infrastructure construction, maintenance, and operation.
Key components of the plan include the Agri-Entrepreneurship Capability Enhancement Assistance (AECEA) and the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprises Development Information System (FFEDIS).
In addition, the Sagip Saka Act implementation targets the empowerment of farmers from Young Farmers Challenge (YFC), Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA), cooperatives and other associations. Those interested can access projects through the DA-AMAD by submitting a letter of intent and completing the necessary legal documentation process. # (CFLauresta/DA-RAFIS 6)
