Regional Bantay Presyo Monitoring Team converge in Iloilo

The Department of Agriculture Western Visayas (DA WV), Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division ( AMAD) recently conducted a consultative meeting with RBPMT member agencies to assist with the impact of inflation and rising cost of goods and services in the region.
With a combined and systemized approach to price monitoring of agri-fishery commodities, the Regional Bantay Presyo Monitoring Team continuously monitors the prices of basic commodities in local public markets.
These updates could become the basis for local chief executives’ (LCEs) policy decisions and different national government agencies.
RBPMT with representatives from Department of Agriculture (DA), National Food Authority (NFA), Bureau of Plant Industry- Plant Quarantine Services (BPI- PQS), Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS), Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) and the Regional Agriculture Fishery Council affirmed agreements and action plans which will direct the implementation of price monitors to gauge inflation levels.###By JNCapaciete/CFLauresta/DA-RAFIS 6
