DA SAAD enhances Data Security

The Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA SAAD) gathers Data Controllers, Area Coordinators, Information Officers and DA SAAD personnel from the 16 regions to took part in a five-Day Training for Data Privacy and Breach Management, October 2- 6, 2023 at Cagayan De Oro City.
This workshop was designed to enhance their expertise in data privacy, data breach management, and other critical aspects such as crafting of content forms and drafting of the SAAD data privacy manual.
The teams from across different regions carefully analyzed and critiqued existing data collection forms used by the program.
The training capacitates the participants in identifying the vulnerabilities and improve the privacy and compliance aspects of these forms. Crafting consent forms that align with the latest privacy standards was emphasized ensuring that data handling remains transparent and secure. On the other hand, the DA-ICTS presented their Data Flow Organizational Structure to ensure the proper flow of data is being observed. The DA RSBSA national focal also Introduced their Data Privacy Compliance and Data Privacy Manual to help the participants in crafting a compliant and transparent Data Privacy Manual.
