The Belison Multi-Purpose Cooperative’s General Assembly Meeting on March 18, 2025, at Belison Central Elementary School, served as a powerful reminder of the collective effort driving positive change in the region. The event highlighted the significant and unwavering support of the Department of Agriculture Western Visayas in transforming local farming, fisheries, and other sectors essential to the community’s livelihood. Through strategic programs and initiatives, the DA has empowered local farmers, fisherfolk, and entrepreneurs by providing them with the tools, resources, and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving agricultural landscape.
One of the successful programs implemented through F2C2, the Kadiwa Financial Grant, and INSPIRE, further strengthens the produce and income of our farmers, hograisers, and livestock raisers.
The event was attended by OIC-Regional Technical Director Maria Teresa T. Solis on behalf of Regional Executive Director Dennis Arpia, the National Dairy Authority, private companies, and a network of committed stakeholders. The cooperative’s growth and success are being fueled by strong partnerships that foster sustainable development.
These collaborations not only enhance agricultural productivity but also promote environmental sustainability, increase market access, and improve the overall well-being of the people of Belison. Together, they are forging a path toward long-term prosperity, ensuring that future generations will continue to benefit from a vibrant, resilient, and thriving agricultural sector in the region. This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to uplift the community, creating a foundation for a more prosperous and self-sustaining future for Belison and beyond.
