The Department of Agriculture Western Visayas’ Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo Program (4-K Program) recently facilitated an organizational management training session to further enhance the Iraynon Bukidnon Indigenous People of Maybunga, Antique.
Aiming to raise awareness among the indigenous people, the event focused on leadership roles, the responsibilities of officers, and the important roles that members play in their society.
Additionally, the session aimed to provide strategic direction for their organization. Throughout the event, resource person Fedila F. Morfe comprehensively assessed their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The organization’s mission and vision statements, as well as core values, were reviewed and refined.
With appreciation, Mischele Demetrio of the indigenous group stated, “Nabuo kami dahil sa layunin ni DA-4K, na mapaunlad ang aming mamamayang katutubo. Dahil sa DA-4K program, unti-unti na nagkaroon ng kaalaman at pagkakaisa tungo sa kaunlaran ng aming katutubo,” highlighting the program’s role in fostering knowledge and unity for the advancement of their community.###Texts by VNQuimpo/DA-RAFIS 6
